May Day street events feature violence & hate - Street I Am

Healthy street culture, Society’s antidote for extinction –

Healthy street culture needs to be allowed to be expressed without

Theme Park Public Art fight in Turkey

The Ankara statue spat in Turkey seems to be a struggle for cultural
identity as much as a matter of taste. The politics of culture found a
worthy venue in a new theme park which has not even been built yet.
However the conservatives of Ankara think the park idea is unnecessary
and wasteful.

Joining other performers to heal streets and hearts

David Blaine has a heart and we were inspired by this article to find three videos of him in Baltimore.

There’s not much uplifting to say about the events that have
followed the arrest and death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. Rage,
distrust, riots, looting — and no answers yet as to how the 25-year-old
West Baltimore resident suffered a fatal spinal injury in police custody
April 19. But […]He can’t make Baltimore’s problems disappear –but magician David Blaine lightened the mood a little bit

Freddie Gray protest in Baltimore erupts

Civil rights remain under attack as incriminating evidence against
the police continues to raise uncertainty.  After 17 days, obvious
questions remain unanswered by the authorities in Baltimore. As a
result, protesters, agitators and thugs mixed in frustration,
opportunism and the quest for political power to foment a boiling
cauldron of violence last night.
