Street Spoken Here – Language without words
Street Spoken Here
Street I Am sees street spoken everyday. Will it become an international language?
An internet of international connectivity is slowly giving birth to a language of shared art. It is a language without words and it even re-imagines in part, the nation state in its present form. The net is giving birth to a group of artists known as street artists who travel the world painting, stenciling and tiling their way on walls everywhere. Their work finds its way onto the net and into our hearts everyday as we surf. We begin to understand each other through a language of symbols and forms that communicate and invite us to participate.Friday, December 20, 2013

Secret Santa busking again?-Stray Dog Sings with Busker - Street I Am
STREET I AM EXCLUSIVE REPORT; Secret Santa Busking Project
Shocking new evidence has been slowly emerging of a Secret Santa Busking Project. Santa Claus has been seen busking on street corners around the world. Pictures have been appearing on Instagram and other social media of Santa like persons busking on the streets. Anonymous sources considered to be close to the North Pole mogul have been heard openly speculating as of late. The rumor is that that this is part of Santa’s last minute adjustments to his traditional naughty and nice list which is secretly compiled every year. The naughty and nice list comprises one of the primary elements of the annual Christmas eve world tour. The list is said to be... read moreSaturday, December 7, 2013

BANKSY NEWS
There has been a lot of Banksy news lately as there often is. By the way does anyone know if Banksy is male or female? I know Banksy says he is male, but has anyone confirmed it. I mean someone that is not part of the Banksy organization. The whole thing could just be another prank you know. I mean just sayin, We’re just talkin here.Anyway. So all of the writers of this street art stuff want to create Banksy news. Using the word Banksy in a sentence as part of the subject of the article. Things like, this artist is the Banksy of Baltimore or this artis...

Dublin Busking Laws Pt 4 Summary - Street I Am
Dublin Busking Laws Pt 4 Summary - Street I Am
Dublin should be one of the crown jewels of world busking
The goal of good busking law should be to;
1. Foster great talent within a community and draw in great talent from elsewhere.
2. Designate in which areas different types busking will be the most beneficial for fostering talent and improving the environment of the community. Areas of very limited busking and areas of enhanced busking. Areas for new and areas for seasoned buskers.

Nick Lowe Rocks Christmas with "Quality Street" - Street I Am
Nick Lowe, “A Seasonal Selection for All the Family”
There are some remarkable Christmas songs and albums which are considered classics for those who value the season. Nick Lowe doing “A Seasonal Selection” of Christmas songs may not at first seem like a likely candidate to become the next classic for the seasons to come, but it just might be a sleeper.
Why?
Take a listen
My favorite is “Go Where I Send Thee” Leave it to Nick Lowe to find that underplayed and under appreciated Christmas song that either everyone else has missed or no one seemed to notice through the years. When you hear it this year I guarantee you will want to hear it every year.

Money Bye-Laws, Dublin Busking laws Pt. 3 - Street I Am
Money Bye-Laws, Dublin Busking laws Pt. 3 - Street I Am
The first two money Bye-Laws seem to echo busking etiquette that most performers already follow. That is not charging money for the performance on the street. The only buskers that do not follow this time honored etiquette are the costumed characters on Hollywood Bl and Times Square. They yell and scream and more if you take a picture of them without slipping them a buck. Bye-Law 8 defines the offense as an act of coercion. It would seem that asking for a dollar if you enjoyed the show would still be allowed but it is left to some interpretation.
The most punitive and degrading of the money Bye-Laws is the No. 9 which says

The most punitive and degrading of the money Bye-Laws is the No. 9 which says
Lonelimess the difference between a bridge and a stadium.
The difference between a bridge and a stadium.
WARNING; This may be considered in extremely bad taste and so I want to apologize in advance of any offense this will undoubtedly cause. Please forgive me but I am a self absorbed artist.Apparently people in increasing numbers are beginning to confuse a bridge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gate_Bridge Which looks like this. And a stadium which looks like this stadium, sadly in the news today.
This is Oakland’s O. co Coliseum. A woman jumped after the game on Sunday and a man saved her life but they were both badly injured.
It seems that more and more people are jumping to their deaths and/or serious injury from stadium balconies when they really are looking for a bridge. These folks may be confused as to the proper function of each. So let us review
The real world function of a bridge is for traffic to pass over obstacles. The bizarro world use is for permanently leaving your body and this world.
A stadium real world use is for watching entertainment. The bizarro world use is spilling food and drink on others.
I hope that clears up any possible confusion as to the difference between a bridge and a stadium.
But I wonder. And now I'm talking to you stadium jumpers cause the bridge people are alright. I'm not talking to you here. No. You Stadium jumpers. You know you may not die and that you may hurt others, But you have an overwhelming desire it seems, to let us all know how miserable you are. You perhaps feel the need to reach out to the unfeeling among us. You perhaps jump not for yourself alone, but for all those who suffer alone. Nothing says look at me better than a dramatic expression of ultimate sorrow in a mega stadium.
Is it possible that kill joy jumpers have spent their lives hurting others when in the act of trying to get attention to themselves and their view of life?
I want to encourage all those of you who wish to draw attention to your life and the issue of loneliness to do some volunteer work first.. You may alleviate somewhat your own sense of loneliness. You may do the same for another. The difference between a bridge and a stadium in the issue of loneliness has another meaning here. The choice of dramatizing the sorrow of loneliness in a stadium or building a bridge to others through service. This is not a sure cure but it has worked for me and people I have met. It is worth a try before doing something that can only hurt you and increase the worlds collective sorrow.
This may be the best difference between a bridge and a stadium
THE DISCLAIMER:
This article in no way claims to propose a cure for loneliness in any clinical sense whatsoever. It furthermore is in no way affiliated with any authorized groups, boards associations, organizations or other entities officially or unofficially practicing clinical psychology or psychiatry. It is based on no studies I have read. It is just me talking.

Cyber-Street, Street art street of the world | Street I Am
Cyber-Street, Street art street of the world | Street I Am
The cyber-street is the reason that street art as we know it exists today.
Great street art is not the image on the wall you walk by on the street. Great street art is what you see on the net. Why? Because the net is where the art is preserved, shared and appreciated. the more it is shared and appreciated, the greater it becomes in our eyes and the more important in peoples lives.Saturday, November 23, 2013

Camden Busking Laws Petition
Now the Camden controversy is heating up as free streets advocates get help from UK busker and world famous street performer rights advocate, Jonny Walker. Dublin Busker Bye-Laws part 2 - equipment | Street I Am
First of all someone needs to tell the Dublin council folks who wrote the Dublin Busker Bye-Laws that an amp and a drum kit are considered equipment. In the current draft of the Bye-Laws the, Instruments / Equipment / Props, section only include Bye-Laws 4 through 6. Yet 2 and 3, for street musicians and dancers, is clearly equipment oriented. Number 2 deals with the size and number of amps per performance. The size allowed is 15 watts and number allowed per performance is 1 amp only. Bye-Law No. 3 says no drum kits allowed to be played on the streets of Dublin.
There is a major problem with these two laws. There are some

Silly street art story "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" | Street I Am
It was long ago before any of them could remember since they were first placed on that driveway at the end of parking lot 5 many happy years ago. They could not remember because after all they were only simple driveway posts and had very little mental capacity.
But they have memories nonetheless, of long before they were the subject of some silly street art for the amusement of others.

Gang graffiti or street art removed or revered? | Street I Am
Gang graffiti or street art removed or revered? | Street I Am
How do you recognize gang graffiti or street art?
Gang graffiti of the defacing kind, by its very nature, can create more violence in a community and sometimes endanger it. It defaces when it becomes nothing more than an exercise in the control of space by those who exploit that community’s weaknesses for profit at any cost. Painting over that gang graffiti can get a person hurt if you don’t clear it with the right people. Gang graffiti becomes violent art. Painting over that gang graffiti can get a person hurt if you don’t clear it with the right people. But don’t lump every artist with a point of view different from the prevailing norms who happens to live there in with all of that.
