Money Bye-Laws, Dublin Busking laws Pt. 3 - Street I Am
The first two money Bye-Laws seem to echo busking etiquette that most performers already follow. That is not charging money for the performance on the street. The only buskers that do not follow this time honored etiquette are the costumed characters on Hollywood Bl and Times Square. They yell and scream and more if you take a picture of them without slipping them a buck. Bye-Law 8 defines the offense as an act of coercion. It would seem that asking for a dollar if you enjoyed the show would still be allowed but it is left to some interpretation.
The most punitive and degrading of the money Bye-Laws is the No. 9 which says
